  My wedding was a number of years ago now, but after reading several negative reviews, I thought I would add mine because it seems that some things have not improved. When I was at the looking stage, the staff were extremely helpful and polite, except for one strange moment, which in hindsight I wish I had paid attention to. On one of my visits there, as I was browsing the dresses, I was asked in a rather suspicious way, why I was feeling the material. I would have thought this was obvious. If I was going to be wearing this dress all day and next to my skin, it needed to feel right for me. As soon as I became a customer, the staff attitude changed. It became more about the money, (when they were going to get paid). I needed some adjustment across the chest area, because I was not well endowed, and it just seemed to be a hassle for them to carry out the alterations. The communication about paying was lousy, and I had to get my father all the way down from London at short notice to pay the balance, as the shop had said that they would not let me have the dress unless they were paid within two days (having not previously told me of this). How I wish that the chance to rate and review existed back then! It was such a shame because it did mar the whole wedding preparation experience for me. Of course, when I took the bridesmaids in for a fitting, the staff were falling over themselves to help, but not once I was in the shop alone, which I was for most of the time, as my parents lived in London. Given that others are still experiencing bad service from this shop, I would strongly recommend shopping around, and going with your instincts. I would not have recommended Cameo at all.
